Декабрь — последний месяц года.

Начинается зима и всё заканчивается.

Цветы увяли, птицы улетели, листья опали.

Выпал снег и всё стало одинаковым,

белым и чёрным, чёрным и белым.

«Winterreise» - «Зимнее путешествие» в Санкт-Петербург под музыку Франца Шуберта и падающий снег.


В своем творчестве петербургский фотограф Дмитрий Сироткин обращается к вечной теме бытия. Представленные на выставке фотографии -взгляд художника на мир, оцепеневший от холода, в котором человек обречен на одиночество и пустоту.

Бесцельно блуждающие в зыбком мороке набережных и площадей, спешащие неведомо куда обитатели туманного и заснеженного города погружены в созерцание. Они затерялись в про­странстве и времени, став пленниками петербургской фантасмагории. Кто знает, быть может, этот существующий лишь в отражении фотокамеры эфемерный мир прекрасной и искусственной поэзии станет их освобождением?

«Winterreise» is the «Winter Journey» to St Petersburg accompanied Ьу Schubert's music and falling snow.


ln his work the St Petersburg photographer, Dmitry Sirotkin, addresses the eternal subject of human existence. The photos presented at the exhibltion reflect the artist's view of the world stiffened with cold, where man is doomed to solitude and emptiness. The inhabltants of the foggy and snowy city wandering aimlessly through the elusive mirage of embankments and squares, hurrying somewhere, are immersed in contemplation. They are lost in space and time turning into prisoners of the St Petersburg phantasmagoria.
Who knows, maybe this ephemeral world of wonderful and artificial poetry existing only in the reflection of the camera will set them free?
